Rykki Lynn Olson

Rykki Lynn was born in Star Valley and grew up in Shoshoni, Wyoming. She graduated Valedictorian from Shoshoni High School in 2004. She then moved to Ogden, Utah to attend Weber State University. She was an English (Creative Writing) major with an emphasis in poetry, and she changed her minor from Family Studies to Legal Studies and finally to Computer Science. She spent her final semester writing both programming code and poetry. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008 as one of the English Department’s “Outstanding Graduates”. She has published poems in the 2007 and 2008 editions of Metaphor and in the 2008 edition of Scribendi. Rykki now works for Weber School District as the computer tech at Fremont High School. She is also an Evolve training coordinator and instructor.
